Yesss.... Kursa is like Mezotne, but for 14-18 year olds, and it goes 3 or 6 weeks or however many weeks between that that you want to go. It goes from the end of June to the beginning of August. It rocks.

This is a crap description because I'm assuming everyone that's here already knows what Kursa is. And no, its not pronounced "Course-a", thank you. -.-()

A Typical Day At Kursa:On weekdays, in the mornings, you have classes (which are organized not by age but by Latvian language skills, with the exception of singing and dancing.) These include History, Grammar, and Literature, along with Folklore and um... whatever that other class was. Oh and Religion. Which sucks, unless Kaneps is teaching. AND I SAW THE LIGHT AND I WAS PUNK! Lol.
Then, in the afternoon, right after lunch there's the study hour so you can finish your homework, then free time. And if you have Sods (punishment) you have to do it during free time. And then during free time you can do- whatever. Swim, hang out, doesn't matter. Then you have your elective class- pottery, yearbook, magazine, Latvian cooking, metalworking, drawing, photography, among others. Then dinner.
On Fridays dinner has a theme. This doesn't mean its formal. For instance, there have been themes such as Insane Asylum, Ancient Rome, the list goes on and on. There always is a Casino Night though. At the end of Casino Night there is an auction for stuff from the city like soda and stuff, and you use the "money" you won to auction for it.
On Saturdays there are no classes, unless there was a field trip during the week that caused people to miss classes. In the evenings there is a dance, and this too also has a theme.
On Sundays you can sleep in until 1PM and then they have a barbecue lunch, with hamburgers and hot dogs and watermellons and ice cream, and thats really yummy!
Sports are also randomly in the afternoons or on Saturdays or whenever. These include Soccer (football), Capture-The-Flag, Capture-The-Flag at night, Counselor Hunting, and that balloon thingy. In the evenings, we have Rotalas. We play "Vai Tu Mani Mili?" (Do you love me?), Acis Mirkstinasana (The Winking Game) (My favorite!) and sometimes NightSoccer/Capture-the-Flag. My personal favorite day has to be Saturday! Balli-tuh! Balli-tuh! :D
Field trips happen about twice every summer. We usually go to Hurricane Ridge, and walk 20,000 miles, but the view once we get there is amazing- you can see Canada! :D We also went to the beach. It was cold, but awesome anyways. :D Field trips rule but they're really tiring so everyone sleeps on the way there and everyone sleeps on the way back! When we were coming back from the beach, the brakes overheated so we stopped at Safeway and loaded up on sooo much candy and crap! Lmao! Marty bought the guys porn remember? *cracks up* Marty has his own page, I won't talk about him here lol.
